Starhill 3.6 Promotion- Shook!

After reading Jean's blog regarding Starhill 3.6 Tea- Break promotion, I've decided to visit the restaurant at Starhill.

This tea break promotion is from 3pm to 6 pm on daily basis with Rm3.60 ++ per item. No reservation is needed.The participating restaurant are Fisherman's Cove, Shook!, Lu Yu Tea House and Pak Loh Chiu Chow Restaurant. If i'm not mistaken, the promotion ends in Dec ( but better check it)

After doing a little research, I picked up Shook!

It's lovely Saturday afternoon. I couldn't wait to taste the food there as i have seen so many delicious food pics when i was doing the research.

Finally, It's 2.50pm. Taking escalator.

Heading to Shook! Not much people yet.

One of reasons we pick up this restaurant because of its environment (Based on outlook of the restaurant).

Each item costs RM3.6o and subject to 10% service charge and 5% government tax.

Mine is Blue Hawaiian. It's pineapple juice mix with other thing but i forgot what's that =)

8- inch Cumberland Sausage with mashed potato.

I love the mashed potato to the max! It tastes so nice. It's the first time i try this type of sausage. Dear says it's nice but i have mixed feeling. A bit wasabi (guess only- i'm not a food expert)+ black pepper. But it's ok for me.

Classic Salad

6 inch Pepperoni Pizzza.

It's not thick at all. My advice is to add more pepperoni and cheese- add on RM3.60. It would taste better.

Pasta with Aglio- olio

The best amongst all. Somemore with two big prawns. I think Shook's pasta is not bad. Of course, the portion is so small since it only costs RM3.60. It's not enough for me.

Total: 8 items

Normally, you have to pay more than this price if you dine in cozy restuarant in Starhill. So i think it's affordable for most of the people for Rm3.60 per item.

Daorae Korean BBQ Restaurant – Subang USJ

Food.. Food & Food again. Don't worry. More posts about food to come.

It's Sunday night. Both of us had no idea which restaurant should we dine in. Dear suggested we should have a try on korean food. I have never tried korean food before and my answer definitely would be yes!

Daorae Korean BBQ Restaurant

Daorae Korean BBQ has some outlets located in Subang USJ, Kota Damansara, Puchong, Kepong & Desa Sri Hartamas. Mine is Subang USJ.


There was a long queue. We did not make reservation and we had to wait.

The side dishes are free of charge. And surprisingly, the side dishes taste good! Superb!

Grill Section

The restaurant is non- halal & pork is served. If you want the grill, you must order at least two meat items. It's not a good thing if there are only 2 of you! The opportunity cost is forgoing other dishes just for the grill.

Most of the customers want the grill section. Impossible to miss it out. The aroma of the grilled meat permeated the whole restaurant. * Must Try *

The staff came and helped us to grill the meats. What u need to do is just to wait & eat.

Spicy Korean Rice (Dderk- Bokgi)



We asked the waiter whether the spicy korean rice is served in big portion. He answered me 'no!
=.= Not honest ya.

We sat there for 2 hour plus trying very hard to finish the food (bcos for me, it's expensive). After the meal, we smell like BBQ meats !!

Those who see me recently, you all must notice my face is round (you know the reason). It's easy to be fat rather than to get rid of those 'fats' that rest comfortably in my body.

Restaurant Yu Ai Seafood Noodles

It's lovely Saturday afternoon. Dear and i went to Restaurant Yu Ai located @ Segambut Utara. (Same row with RHB Bank) This is the second time i went there.

They offer mainly Seafood noodles in Curry, Tom Yam, and Plain Soup. Besides, they also offer other side dishes but i never have a try before.

There is a shop located at the shop lot but it's easier to find parking behind the restaurant. So, we normally will have meals here instead of inside the restaurant. And we notice, other customers also love to sit under the trees.

Mine. Seafood Noodles - Tom Yam Soup - estimate RM15 or more.
(we dint ask for the price and not sure whether they do increase it or nt)

He laughed when i showed this pic after mine one. He mixed the chillies with curry soup before i could take the pic. = =

*** Tissue is a must. Don't worry, they do provide tissues. Most of us were sweating.

Personally think that, the taste was better when i had it in 2009. The soup was nicer.
Previously, they gave us lots of seafood. Apparently Now, they reduce the portion of it. But still, the seafood noodle is good compared to other (that i have tried before).

2 small seafood noodles + 2 glasses of herbal tea = 34.50
